{"id":200,"date":"2015-07-31T23:05:45","date_gmt":"2015-07-31T23:05:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bobblom.nl\/wp\/?page_id=200"},"modified":"2020-03-02T21:38:40","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T20:38:40","slug":"audio","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bobblom.nl\/wp\/?page_id=200","title":{"rendered":"AUDIO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the early 80s&nbsp; I worked alot with audio-tapes and -cassettes to create the material that I used to create the live radio-broadcasts and mixing shows.<br \/>\nAt first, all processing was done by hand :<br \/>\nOne technique used a lot was to cut audiocassette-tape&nbsp; appr. 9-10 cm. long.With a tiny piece of scotch-tape the ends were glued together so that it formed a loop, and it was then placed in a cassette end put to play in an cassette-player. With a little luck, it would play an endless \u00b14 seconds-long loop.<br \/>\nHaving several of these cassette-loops of varied lengths was sometimes enough to fill hours of radio without&nbsp; it getting over-repetitive, and thus boring.<br \/>\nAnother technique was making loops&nbsp; or repeating clippings by editing ,cassette-to-cassette, with the pause-button.<br \/>\nBoth of these techniques were avant-lettre sampling, sort of.<\/p>\n<p>Computers were introduced in the process around 1986,first a Commodore64, and later an Amiga.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some clips of what came out of that:<a href=\"http:\/\/bobblom.nl\/wp\/?page_id=218\"><br \/>\nBasic Material<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/bobblom.nl\/wp\/?page_id=221\"><br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/bobblom.nl\/wp\/?page_id=223\">Radio Broadcasts and\/or mixes<br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/bobblom.nl\/wp\/?page_id=218\">Beats<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the early 80s&nbsp; I worked alot with audio-tapes and -cassettes to create the material that I used to create the live radio-broadcasts and mixing shows.
